Cognitive impairments can significantly impact your loved one’s life and their ability to live independently comfortably. However, even though these conditions can make it challenging for your loved one to manage day-to-day activities, it doesn’t always have to be that way.

At Fairway Pines, we offer a Memory Care program developed for those who need a little more support and structure in their lives. If your loved one is experiencing cognitive decline and think they could benefit from some additional assistance, please contact us!

What Memory Care Means

For our residents with cognitive impairments, maintaining a lifestyle that supports their freedom is imperative. Through thoughtfully-designed suites and person-centered care, we offer a structured program designed to help with memory challenges.

We understand that your loved one’s needs may change, and we have the tools and resources to adapt when necessary. Our staff is thoroughly trained to ensure they can provide the best possible comfort and care for our members with cognitive impairments.

Identifying Level of Support

If you feel your loved one may benefit from our Memory Care program, we’d love to help. Before becoming a member of our community, we’ll have you meet with one of our registered nurses to assess what exactly your loved one needs. We can with:

  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Personal hygiene/toileting
  • Assistance eating
  • Medication assistance

Enriching Connections is a specialized program developed to train our staff working in Memory Care. The program is designed to give our team members the knowledge and resources necessary to help our residents live their lives comfortably and safely while dealing with dementia.

Our Enriching Connections program is based on 7 foundational elements:

  • Relationships & Community: Everyone is invited to belong.
  • Commitment: Our organizational leaders are actively involved and committed to providing incredible person-centered care.
  • Certification & Training for Staff: All management and Memory Care staff members are certified through the Alzheimer’s Association and have completed additional and comprehensive training.
  • Services: Families and nursing staff work together to help create plans that promote individual preferences, independence, and dignity.
  • Meaningful Life & Engagement: Promote and maintain the best quality of life for our residents through our Inspire Wellness for Life program.
  • Environment: Our team is dedicated to making continual improvements so every Tealwood community is a dementia-friendly environment.
  • Accountability: We always strive for high-quality care.
  • Cognitive impairment or imminent decline are making independent living dangerous.
  • Their health is at risk.
  • You don’t have the capabilities to care for them.
  • They are neglecting responsibilities, commitments, and themselves.

24/7 Compassionate Care

As a part of our Memory Care community, your loved one can expect:

  • Assistance to and from meals and events
  • Regularly scheduled care conferences
  • Health monitoring from our certified nursing staff
  • Options to a 3 chef-prepared meal plan
  • Access to housekeeping and laundry services
